Milldale Scout Campsite was the venue for our summer camp in 2009.  A site we have stayed at previously, it has good facilities (although no showers) and has a number of activities close by.

We weren’t so lucky with the weather, and suffered the worst Thunder Storms any of us had ever witnessed.  But the tents managed to withstand the downpours and we made it through the week in a relatively dry state.

Nevertheless we carried on regardless.  We did the following activities:

• Rifle Shooting
• Archery
• Raft Building (and racing)
• Backwoods cooking
• Waterslide (x2)
• Campfire
• Trip to Waterworld in Stoke
• Visited the local historic town of Newcastle-under-Lyme
• Played rounders/ultimate frisbee/football/badminton
• Pioneering
• Cake making
• Orienteering

We are already planning the camp for 2010 so watch this space!
